kindy bbq

Last Sunday we went to the kindy BBQ over at E’s school. It was organised by the school parents for all the kindy and new families this school year. In an effort to make the families at least be “familiar” with each other, after all we will be going through the same journey for the next7 years. The RSVP was due a little more than a week before the BBQ with the class parents also organising an order for the BBQ lunch. A few days before the event though, we got a note back saying that with the number of RSVPs that was received it would now be a BYO picnic and they returned the monies for the BBQ order. As it turns out only 11 out of the 80 kindy families expressed interest in coming to the get together. I mean, how low a turn out is that?! Most of the families that went were those of E’s class (KR) and KP (kindy purple). There were a few from the other class too. It was good though, we got to meet some of the other parents of E’s classmates and got to chat. It is just sad that not a lot really took the time for it. Granted that it was a Sunday but still. Anyways, it was a good afternoon.

sibling love

One thing that is really lovely to see is the love between the kiddies. I know Sab is just a few months old but it is pretty evident. She just adores her ahia and I think as early as now she’s pretty attached to him. He is the only one that can make her really laugh out loud, without even trying hard and with just all sorts of silly things. These are pictures taken about a couple weeks after Sab was born.
