almost eoy

It’s the last day of October and I feel like the year just flew by. It did seem like a very buy year but on the other hand I also feel like not a lot were accomplished? Anyways, I know that I’ve been neglecting my blog, posts are very few and far between. What with all the daily chores couple with fb/twitter, I’ve become even lazier to update here. Don’t worry it’s not just the blog but also with my scrapping I’m way way waaaay behind and I just can’t seem to find the mojo to churn out a lot of LOs. Defintely have to change that.

I’m blogging thru my smartphone and I’m really glad I can somehow do this here. I’m stuck on the couch with the kiddies who are in varying levels of sickness. Sab is almost well while E currently has fever :( Here they are watching a movie ..

Last Saturday, we were supposed to head into the city to spend the day there and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary but as luck would have it Sab got high fever the night before. So the weekend was just spent at home with series and dvd marathons. Simple pleasures.

The previous week we went to the shops and on the way there the two just couldn’t help but be crazy in the car.

It is such a delight to see them laughing, getting along and just enjoying each other’s company. I do hope that is a sign of things to come especially when they’re grown ups. May they have a real close relationship.

Over at E’s school, aside from the assessments and year end stuff, they are also busy with a school concert called “A Traveller’s Tale”. The whole school is involved. Tomorrow they are having a run throught and the following week the dress rehearsal. The concert is set for the end of the month with two matinees and one evening performance. I hope everything goes well and it be a successful show. I’m sure no matter what all the parents will be proud of their kids’ participation.

Ok, time to go. Sorry if my post seems all over the place.

when the cat is away

The other night hubby stepped out of the room to take a phone call (BIL called) and he wasn’t even gone a minute when we heard E calling for us. He was calling us because his little sister managed to smear the nappy cream all over herself and some plastic containers. I don’t know what it is with the cream but she just loves to smear it all over as if it was lotion or something.

This is also my entry to the shabby shoppe’s easy-as-pie template challenge {16}. If you’re into scrapping you might want to join the challenge, head on to the shabby shoppe’s blog, download the free template and join in the fun. You have until the 2nd of October to submit your layout.

invite

My mum recently asked me to make a birthday invite for her and auntie S. They have their birthdays one day apart and every year they throw a party for their friends to celebrate. Although it’s not for a few more months, here is what I came up with:

sabi ni sab

Little girl has been babbling a lot lately and at that age just like her ahia a lot of it is still alien to us. It amazes me that I’m writing this at the same points in their lives, both at 20 mos old (my blog post for E is here).

Here are some of what she’s saying:

  • ay skoo  = play school (kiddie show)
  • a-pol = apple
  • bi-bid = big bird (of sesame street)
  • eh-mo = elmo
  • yogur = yoghurt
  • daa-daa (said with all sweetness) = dada
  • ah-ya = ahia (big brother E)
  • ba-ba (with matching wave) = bye-bye
  • i-fo = iphone
  • i-pa = ipad
  • akoo = octonauts (another kiddie show), I don’t know why but that’s what she shouts whenever the show comes on
  • tek yoo = thank you
  • popo = carry me
  • la na = wala na/no more
  • wa mo  = one more

PS2011: January pt2

So I finally finished the other page for January from the 2 templates that SP provided. This photo was taken at the great barrier reef exhibit at Sydney Aquarium. It was E’s special request to go visit the aquarium on his birthday, he was keen on seeing the Lego on the loose exhibits there.
