It’s the last day of October and I feel like the year just flew by. It did seem like a very buy year but on the other hand I also feel like not a lot were accomplished? Anyways, I know that I’ve been neglecting my blog, posts are very few and far between. What with all the daily chores couple with fb/twitter, I’ve become even lazier to update here. Don’t worry it’s not just the blog but also with my scrapping I’m way way waaaay behind and I just can’t seem to find the mojo to churn out a lot of LOs. Defintely have to change that.

I’m blogging thru my smartphone and I’m really glad I can somehow do this here. I’m stuck on the couch with the kiddies who are in varying levels of sickness. Sab is almost well while E currently has fever Here they are watching a movie ..

Last Saturday, we were supposed to head into the city to spend the day there and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary but as luck would have it Sab got high fever the night before. So the weekend was just spent at home with series and dvd marathons. Simple pleasures.

The previous week we went to the shops and on the way there the two just couldn’t help but be crazy in the car.

It is such a delight to see them laughing, getting along and just enjoying each other’s company. I do hope that is a sign of things to come especially when they’re grown ups. May they have a real close relationship.

Over at E’s school, aside from the assessments and year end stuff, they are also busy with a school concert called “A Traveller’s Tale”. The whole school is involved. Tomorrow they are having a run throught and the following week the dress rehearsal. The concert is set for the end of the month with two matinees and one evening performance. I hope everything goes well and it be a successful show. I’m sure no matter what all the parents will be proud of their kids’ participation.

Ok, time to go. Sorry if my post seems all over the place.

It amazes me that I’m writing this at the same points in their lives, both at 20 mos old (my blog post for E is here).

Here are some of what she’s saying:

ay skoo = play school (kiddie show)

a-pol = apple

bi-bid = big bird (of sesame street)

eh-mo = elmo

yogur = yoghurt

daa-daa (said with all sweetness) = dada

ah-ya = ahia (big brother E)

ba-ba (with matching wave) = bye-bye

i-fo = iphone

i-pa = ipad

akoo = octonauts (another kiddie show), I don’t know why but that’s what she shouts whenever the show comes on

tek yoo = thank you

popo = carry me

la na = wala na/no more

wa mo = one more

Woohoo! Last day of Term 3 and happy to be getting a short break before their final term starts. Can’t believe that 1) Sab will be turning a year old soon, where did the year go? 2) in the same token, a few more months and E will be finishing his first year in big school. I feel old haha!

So this year along with having to transfer houses again, E started with kindy. I am kinda adjusting to having a school curriculum with no grading just some assessments. I’m not really sure how I feel about it, I mean I definitely don’t want E to be pressured in school as early as now but then I also don’t know how he really is doing in school. The few reports that gets home does show that he’s doing ok although there are contradicting points on it. There will be another assessment on week 5 in term 4 so we’ll see how he does then.

Every term there has been some sort of school activity or special days like multi-cultural day, open days and book week. Will do separate posts on them. Last month, we enrolled E in tae kwon do classes, so far he is enjoying.

And what about baby Sab? She’s been keeping us on our toes ever since her birth. I am having a harder time this time around, what with her being more active than her brother at that age. As early as 3 months she’s been grabbing the side of her cot and pulling herself up. There’s not one corner of our unit that she hasn’t crawled to. She’s standing up now but still hesitant to take those first few steps. She babbles a lot but no words yet though Ethan claims to understand her haha (He says he’s the only one to understand her siobe’s baby talk). She loves going out but then she doesn’t like her car seat so do we end up just pushing her in the pram? I wonder how we’d do on a long drive?

One thing I really love seeing is her and E together. Whenever we come home from picking up E from school, she’ll automatically be at her brother’s side. I thank God that E has been pretty patient with her most of the time but I can see that Sab will be lording it over her brother pretty soon.

Will be having a very busy day tomorrow, a Ben 10 show (for dad and son) and then 2 birthday parties. So I need to pack now if we are to catch our flight to Adelaide on Sunday. Ok, off .. to .. pack ..
